Introduction Visitors to Harting and Nyewood will be in no doubt that they are entering an environmentally friendly area, when they see the new signs around the Parish villages showing their commitment as Greening Campaign members to combating climate change. Six signs bearing the 'Greening Harting' logo have been put up around the area involved in the campaign. They can be found leading into Nyewood from Rogate and South Harting, and on entering South Harting from Elstead, Nyewood, Petersfield and Emsworth. 'Greening Harting' is a campaign to reduce the carbon footprint of South Harting, East Harting, West Harting and Nyewood. The campaign has been going for over a year, and is run by community volunteers, with support from Chichester District Council and the Parish Council.
